BEHIND THE SCENES:

This week’s page went a lot smoother than the last ones. My confidence in making comic pages has gone up so much since the beginning of this project. The more you show up to the drawing table, the easier ideas will flow.

We are getting really close to the end of Chapter Two!

WHAT’S INSPIRING ME:

One word… BONE! Bone was the first graphic novel I ever read. I picked up a random volume of the Scholastic version of it when I was in the 4th grade, and it changed my life. I got the full series in black and white a while ago, and I am consistently blown away by how beautiful this comic is. I aspire to have line-work as smooth as Jeff Smith’s. The pages are so clear, so elegant. That’s all just the cherry on top, Bone is a wonderful and whimsical story that never fails to put a smile on my face.
