NOON CHAPTER TWO (PART SIX)
Thank you for reading yet another entry in this storyline! I’d guess we’re about halfway through Chapter Two, and I can’t wait for you all to see the rest.
Something art-related I’ve been considering comes from the album Vanisher, Horizon Scraper that the artist Quadeca just released. The album centers on the concept of a sailor who feels called by God to explore the ocean, and what that entails. I relate a lot to this concept in my own journey of bringing this comic to life. It’s hard not to see it as a selfish endeavor — it’s not like making a comic is changing the world, right? Yet I still feel that calling from a Higher Power to make it. It’s an interesting thing to think about: Why does God give us talents? Why does He call us to certain paths? Perhaps I’ll know someday, but for now, I’ll keep plugging away.
I’ve also been thinking about my inner child a lot recently. As I’ve grown as an artist, the critical voice inside has grown as well. That voice is essential — it helps me see my shortcomings and how I can improve — but if it’s given precedence over the voice of the inner child, creativity disappears. That child wants to create in a certain way, despite what others might think. Despite what the critic might say. Making this comic has forced me to embrace my imperfections, to embrace childlike creativity, to let this story exist despite its flaws. And the child inside loves it.
Have an amazing week, everyone! Keep creating!

The story! The emotion! The art style as usual! All so good!!! Loving this!!!
