NOON CHAPTER TWO (PART THIRTEEN)
Wow guys! I am scheduling this post to be released on my daughter’s due date! That would be cool if this update came out on the same day she’s born, but you never know when a baby is going to decide it’s time. If I don’t update for the next couple weeks, you all will know why.
I had some huge artistic revelations on this update. Color is finally starting to make sense to me. Color theory has always felt like a form of magic that I never fully understood. I am far from mastering it, but the chaos is starting to make sense. Comparing it to magic, most of the art fundamentals feel like a hard magic system with a specific set of rules to follow that you pretty much can’t go wrong with. Color theory, however, feels like a soft magic system. It’s a lot more mysterious and unpredictable. It is satisfying to see it start to come together.
For any artist that wants to see massive improvement in their work, making a comic is the best recommendation I could make. Making comics has forced me out of a comfort zone that I was stuck in for many years. It is hard work, but it is so cool to improve and also get a cool story out of it.
I wanted to thank everyone for getting this newsletter to 100 subscribers! I can’t express how much joy I get from sharing this comic with you. Thank you for all for the kind comments! This is just the beginning.

Congrats on 100 subscribers! And awesome story so far!!!
